Pray for the Workers
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" Matthew 25:40
During this time there is much to do for "the least of these". Our world is ravaged by disasters and plagued with economic hardship. With so many needs, we know that we must bring hope to more families this year than ever.
Please include the following in your prayer time.
PRAYER REQUESTS
1. That HOPE ww receive $1.4 million in unrestricted, global giving from the churches in 2009, to reach sustainability.
2. For the US government to "set-aside" support for the work of HOPEww.
3. For every HOPEww employee to grow in having the heart of Jesus during 2009.
4. Philippines:
6. For HOPEww in Nigeria to find favor in the corporate sector to build their HQ and vocational training facilities.
7. For HOPE worldwide to be able to stand in the gap and protect the poor we serve from the worst effects of the global economic crisis.
8. To protect the courageous workers of HOPE worldwide around the world, especially those in Afghanistan.
9. That we have a lease on property in the Philadelphia area to house the HVC, HYC, Camp Miracles and R Camp and Teen Camp.
10. That we are able to raise the match for government grants that provide about $2 million to the needy children of the US.
11. To finish the legal process for HOPEww-Brazil as soon as possible, so we can receive financial support from companies, and to start a project with elderly at the second biggest poor community in São Paulo.
12. That HWW UK can start Centers of Hope in two or more cities; that UK funding will increase by 50% rather than be effected by the international financial crisis; and that they will be able to access substantial British and European governmental funding for oversees affiliates.
13. HOPEww Thailand to have an effective new Board of Directors that is able to raise funds & Initiates new sustainable programs, that will ultimately lead to the employment of HOPEww Country Director.
14. Brazil: heavy rains, floods, landslides have uprooted 25,000 people in Santa Catarina. Pray for them to get help.
15. Pray for legal documentation and funding for all affiliates and programs in Brazil; government support for education in Rio.
16. Pray for the celebration scheduled for the Cambodia Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE on November 5, 2009 (1,000,000th patient consultation for free).
17. Pray that the HOPEww US work will grow from 65 cities to 90 cities by 2009 year-end.
18. Pray that HOPEww in India will have its most amazing year ever, and that great new partnerships will be born in India and the whole region.
