Sharing HOPE. Changing LIVES. Transforming COMMUNITIES.
HOPE worldwide Philippines has established a model child welfare and protection system for Filipino children in especially difficult circumstances. For more than a decade, it has provided essential medicines, supplies, professional services and most importantly caring full-time staff and volunteers who work directly with poor children.
Together with private donors, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and other Non-Government Organizations, HOPE worldwide Philippines has engaged in campaigns and established programs to promote the rights of children and help them develop, with a focus on providing comprehensive child sexual abuse prevention, education services and bringing abused children full circle from identification to treatment, healing and reintegration as vibrant survivors.
HOPE worldwide Philippines also provides assistance to children in emergencies or victims of disasters and calamities. We address their needs by providing services at virtually every stage along the care continuum from short-term medical treatment, to long-term psychosocial support, skills training and livelihood, prevention, identification, treatment of child abuse, provision of temporary shelter for orphans, re-integration and placement.
HOPE worldwide Philippines' comprehensive system of child welfare touches over 100,000 poor children, youth and families annually and maintains for them a sustained safety net while tackling long-term problems that perpetuate child emergencies, poverty and abuse.
